I have been working with Alfonso for over 15 years. One of my jobs is to ensure that students and postdocs can do their work without complications. The other one is to provide technical assistance for specific projects. For many years I worked with Alfonso and Penny Hayward on the genetics of the interactions between Notch and Wnt signalling in Drosophila. Since the last 6 years and following the trend of the lab to move to the use of ES cells as a model system, I run the tissue culture facility of the lab and carry out experiments on the role of different signalling pathways in pluripotency and differentiation, focusing on Gastruloids.
