I was born and raised in southern California completing my BSc in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology at UCLA. I’ve gone back and forth a bit between industry and academia working for Illumina and Thermofisher in San Diego and completing my MRes in Regenerative Medicine at the University Bath before joining the gastruloid group in Cambridge.
My current research interests center around competitive cell behaviours during early development. I personally find this topic interesting because it allows us to look at gene expression both as a contributor to and function of the cells’ own physical and social environment.
In my spare time, I like to run, overwater my plants and develop disproportionately strong opinions about baking shows.
